Two new distinctions honouring engagement in bat conservation has been established. The Golden Horseshoe Bat commemorates individual persons, and the Quality Sign Land of the Horseshoe Bat is for the institutions involved deeply in helping bats.

The Lesser horseshoe bat lives in the southern stripe of Poland, with the highest concentration 50 km around Nowy Sącz. Activities related to the Land of the Horseshoe bat concentrate there. (more…)
