The church is build on the plan of cross. The gables of the side arms have two rows of windows that let quite a lot of light in. To improve the conditions for several species of bats using the attic, some baffles have been installed. The LIFE Podkowiec+ team renovated the windows and installed them to make bat fly-in possible at the same time blocking most of the light out.
Some sensitive places have been secured from the impact of guano. Special stone tiles have been installed for bats to hook on. Experience gained at the LIFE Podkowiec+ project proved that the bats sometimes prefer stone surface over the rough wood, when they have choice. Special shelter for bat to hide during colder days have also been installed.
