We invite all interested to the Bat Festival, that will take place near Jaskinia Nietoperzowa – The Bat Cave (between Kraków and Olkusz).

Bats spend some part of their lives in churches and caves, so some of the festival activities will take place around these objects. It will be possible to learn, what the church wall hides, and where the ammonites come from. But the Festival is not only to gain new knowledge, there will also be place for fun and creativity. The event has been split into thematic panels. During the scientific panel, Piotr Firlej, member of the LIFE Podkowiec+ staff will explain how the horseshoe bat lifestyle relates to the conditions offered by modern civilisation.

Persons with some creativity may show their skills at the competition for the bat cake, at the ceramic art workshop or outdoor painting plain-air.

Full programme of the festival is available (in Polish) on the poster and leaflet.

Registration is expected to take part in the festival activities – by phone (+48 12 380 10 61) or by e-mail (biuro@jurajskakraina.pl) until 11 September.
