On 14 and 15th of July, the project was visited by Ms Marta Kaczyńska, the Monitor on behalf of the European Commission. Besides screening of the project document, The Monitor was able to see some of the project sites and activities life. At the time the project team was busy monitoring the Summer maternity colonies. In some locations, external contractor was planting trees, to improve routes for bats commuting to and from the feeding grounds. The Monitor participated also in some project and bat promotion activities. One of the results of the project was training of the tourist guides in bat related issues. Ms Monitor had an opportunity to see the night event in the Skamieniałe Miasto (Petrified City) reserve where the horseshoe bats hunt for their food.
