During the Winter season when bats are absent from their Summer colonies, the LIFE Podkowiec+ team works intensively in many roosts. One of the examples is the church in Bruśnik, where the project staff installs a platform collecting guano, thus easing up the cleaning actions, and additionally, separating the space in two rooms, making the lower part available as so called cool room, for the use during extreme heat periods.

Some other improvements in Bruśnik are to make the space darker, and in consequence safer for the bats. Most of the raptors use sight when hunting. To prevent predation even more, special door were installed between two parts of the attic, and equipped in special anti-marten shelf. Whenever the raptor tries to jump onto the shelf, it swings, and the animals slips down back to the floor.
