  • June competition

In June (and July) the female lesser horseshoe bats give birth to their young. After few more weeks they will become independent and will catch their prey using echolocation. Interestingly, young bats over their first year use a different frequency calls than adults. And opposite to us, people, the young have a lower voice than the adults.

The question for the June competition is: what is the frequency of the adult Lesser horseshoe bat echolocation call? Project gadgets - T-shirts, badges and fudges will be randomly awarded among the correct answers. Have fun!
