What is especially important from the point of view of the Polish Society of Nature Friends „pro Natura”, the first of the practices described by the trainers was the lesser horseshoe bat conservation project – one of several examples of our Society’s bat work mentioned during the event.
On the excursion day the participants could see the bat conservation measures at work in the Kampinos National Park, e.g. numerous old vegetable cellars (remains of non-existent villages) adapted as bat winter roosts.
The workshop, attended mainly by the staff of The State Forests National Forest Holding, was also an opportunity to meet organizations and people carrying out different projects funded under the LIFE+ programme and by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
