The bat conservation work done so far at the Natura 2000 site “Ostoje Nietoperzy Beskidu Wyspowego” (“The Beskid Wyspowy Mts Bat Refuge”) as well as the work planned within the PODKOWIEC+ project were presented by the local environmental protection authorities from Kraków at a conference initiating the “Poznaj swoją Naturę” (“Know your Nature”) campaign.

The conference was held in Warsaw on the 13th of March. It had been organised by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection which is conducting the campaign funded under the LIFE+ programme and by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The singer/songwriter Andrzej Piaseczny became the project’s ambassador. More at www.poznajnature.pl
