On the 4th of December 2013 Renata Paszkiewicz, Rafał Szkudlarek and Aneta Fiskies of the Polish Society of Nature Friends „pro Natura” were involved in a committee assessing the results of the second stage of a regional bat knowledge competition “What do you know about flying hedgehogs?”, organized by the regional division of the Lower Silesian Landscape Parks Complex and “pro Natura”.

After a two hour debate three persons with the highest score were proclaimed winners and one more person was distinguished. On the 10th of December, the winners of the competition were invited to the regional division of the Lower Silesian Landscape Parks Complex. Rafał Szkudlarek, president of the PTPP „pro Natura”, informed the young audience about the bat conservation measures the Society has been implementing for many years, at present in the framework of the PODKOWIEC+ project. In addition to the prizes prepared by the regional division of the Lower Silesian Landscape Parks Complex, the winners got limited edition coins with the picture of the lesser horseshoe bat, issued by the National Bank of Poland in 2010.
