Entrance slots used by animals have been kept and proper level of ventilation has been provided. A platform for guano has been made to prevent getting guano to the lower levels of the temple and to ease the cleaning after the breeding season. This church is a historic building set in the Natura 2000 site. Due to that, besides Society’s supervision, works commissioning have been done by the staff of investor, Regional Historic Monument Authority in Przemyśl – Delegacy in Krosno and Regional Environmental Directorate in Rzeszów – Delegacy in Krosno. We’d like to thank Parson Henryk Dobosz and members of the parish for a care and understanding bats’ needs. Thanks to the support from European Union (Life+ Financial Instrument) and National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Management we were able to conserve valuable place of bats’ breeding colony in the temple used by the local community. This is a good example of combining human and bat needs. In Spring we will find out how bats accept new lodging. Their opinion is of utmost importance for us.
