Every three years chiropterologists from around the Europe meet in different places of our continent on the Conferences (European Bat Research Symposium) dedicated to bats protection and research.

Last meeting – XIIIEBRS took place in Sibenik, Croatia on 1st to 5th of September 2014 and it gathered 300 participants from over 30 countries. There were presented a lot of issues connected with current threats for bats. During few sessions dedicated to light pollution, wind turbines, renovating works in roosts, acoustic monitoring and bat diseases, we learned about present research results and protection actions in different parts of Europe. Project Life Podkowiec+ was presented in poster session and on the stand participants received leaflets and also they could watch photos presenting variety of project’s actions. We got in touch with organizations and institutions from Great Britain, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden, Slovenia and Austria. A huge thank you to the organizers – Croatian Biospeleological Society for professional personnel and service at the event and for the possibility for us to wider present our project.
